FAQ

Nidol Inc.

Is this printed or embroidered?

Embroidered. Real thread, stitched by machine, one cap at a time.

How long does it take?

Most orders ship in a few business days. A brand-new design needs extra time the first time — a person converts it into a stitch file by hand. The product page tells you before you order.

Can I use my own artwork?

Yes. Upload it on any custom product and our digitizing team will convert it by hand. Allow extra business days for digitizing. You need to own the artwork or have permission to use it. For large or complex jobs, contact us for a quote.

Why does the number of thread colours matter?

Each colour is a separate thread the machine has to change to. More colours means more time and more cost. It’s a manufacturing constraint, not a design preference — so we show you the count.

What is an iron-on patch, and how do I put it on?

The same embroidery, stitched as a patch with a heat-seal backing instead of on a cap. Heat an iron to the cotton setting, cover the patch with a thin cloth, press firmly for 30–45 seconds, press again from the inside, and let it cool. Works on cotton, denim and canvas; not on nylon, leather or waterproof fabrics. Full steps are on the Care page.

Can I return a custom cap?

Personalized items can’t be resold, so custom orders are final sale unless the cap arrives damaged or doesn’t match your order. See Returns.

Where is it made?

Embroidered in the USA. Blanks are sourced from wholesale suppliers.

How do I wash it?

Cold water, inside out, air dry. Don’t iron the stitching. For patched items, wait 24 hours after applying before the first wash.
