What we can and can’t stitch
A person converts your artwork into a stitch file by hand. This is not an automatic conversion, and it is why a custom design takes longer than a stock one.
Embroidery uses solid thread, not gradients, so we reduce artwork to a limited set of thread colours. More colours costs more and takes longer.
You need to own the artwork or have permission to use it. We may decline artwork we can’t legally stitch, and refund you in full.
Files over 20 MB — email info@nidol.com.
Personalized and custom items are final sale.

Caps are made to order, so we don’t hold stock in sizes — what you pick is what gets stitched.

Blanks are sourced from wholesale suppliers and measured by batch before anything is stitched — fabric weight, stretch and thickness all change how thread sits, so the stitch file is made against the batch it will run on.
Every colour is a separate thread the machine changes to. That is why the count is on the page: more colours costs more and takes longer.
Care
- Cold water, inside out.
- Air dry. Heat is what shrinks fabric around stitching and makes it pucker.
- Don’t iron the stitching. If you must press, iron the fabric around it.
- No bleach.
Embroidery outlasts print, but the fabric underneath still has a lifespan. Treat the cap, not the thread, as the thing that wears out.
Shipping & returns
Made to order — ships in 3–4 business days, plus transit. United States only for now.
Personalized and custom items are final sale. A personalized cap can’t be resold, so we can’t take it back for a change of mind.
We will replace or refund anything that arrives damaged or doesn’t match your order — send us a photo within 14 days. We photograph every cap before it ships, so we can usually tell you what happened.

Every cap is photographed three times before it ships
Not for marketing. It is how we can tell you whether something went wrong at the frame, the file or the machine.
Hooped
The blank is stretched flat in a frame. Get this wrong and the design comes out skewed, so it is photographed before anything is stitched.
First piece
One is run and checked before the rest. A mistake caught here costs one cap.
Finished
Trimmed, checked and photographed again. That last photo is what we compare against if anything is queried.
Shipped
From our own machines in the USA. Tracking is emailed the moment it leaves.

Grew up on the water and has been drawing the same three waves ever since.
Water is repetition. Stitching is repetition. The two get along better than you would expect.
